PartPlanner

PartPlanner is the first product out of Pattform R&D, and the one that proved a lot of the patterns the rest of the studio now reuses. It is a working SaaS product with real users, not a demo.

What it does

People who build and flip PCs end up managing a surprising amount: parts bought in bulk, half-finished builds, listings across marketplaces, and the running maths of what each part actually cost versus what it sold for. Most of that lives in spreadsheets that fall out of date the moment a part moves.

PartPlanner puts it in one place. You track the hardware you own, plan builds from stock you actually have rather than a wishlist, and see part-out margins as you go, so the decision to build, sell whole, or sell in pieces is backed by real numbers.

Why it matters to Pattform

PartPlanner is where most of Pattform’s reusable capability was first built and proven. Almost none of it was bought off the shelf: authentication, teams and authorisation on a custom-built backend and library, a custom inventory backend, subscription payments, a static marketing website, an app that works across desktop and mobile, a content management system for the blog, a CRM for marketing, and analytics.

Every one of those has since been extracted into a reusable pattern. That is the real payoff: the next product or partner build that needs them starts from a proven foundation, so a job that took a couple of weeks the first time now takes a couple of days.
